อีริคสันเผยรายงาน Mobility Report คาดภายในปี 2565 เทคโนโลยี LTE ในประเทศไทยจะเติบโตขึ้นถึงสี่เท่า
จำนวนผู้สมัครใช้งาน LTE ในประเทศไทยเติบโตขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง คาดการณ์เกือบ 30 ล้านรายภายในปี 2560 คาดว่าจำนวนผู้สมัครใช้งาน LTE ในระหว่างปี 2559-2565 จะเติบโตขึ้นถึงสี่เท่า
การใช้งาน LTEจะถูกขับเคลื่อนด้วยอุปกรณ์สื่อสารในราคาที่สมเหตุสมผลและแอพพลิเคชั่นที่ถูกพัฒนาด้วยคนไทยและต่างชาติรวมถึงความต้องการที่จะยกระดับประสบการณ์การใช้บริการของผู้ใช้งาน และความเร็วของโครงข่าย
การขยายพื้นที่การให้บริการของ LTE ให้ครอบคลุมอย่างทั่วถึงจะเพิ่มศักยภาพในการทำให้เกิด IoT City จำนวนมากเพื่อสนับสนุนวิสัยทัศน์ของดิจิทัลประเทศไทยอย่างแท้จริง
อีริคสัน (NASDAQ: ERIC) เผยรายงาน Mobility Report ฉบับล่าสุดเปิดเผยว่าจำนวนผู้สมัครใช้งาน LTEในประเทศไทยจะเติบโตขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องและประสิทธิภาพการใช้งานของโครงข่ายยังคงเป็นส่วนสำคัญของยุคดิจิทัลในประเทศไทย
ภายในปี 2565 LTE จะมีสัดส่วนประมาณ 60เปอร์เซ็นต์ของจำนวนผู้ใช้งานโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ โดยในปี 2559มีผู้สมัครใช้งาน LTE ในประเทศไทยสูงถึงเกือบ 20 ล้านราย หรือเกือบ20 เปอร์เซ็นต์ของผู้ใช้งานโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ทั้งหมดซึ่งถือเป็นสามเท่าเมื่อเทียบกับปี 2558 และคาดว่าจะมีจำนวนผู้ใช้งานLTE ในประเทศไทยเพิ่มสูงขึ้นเป็นสองเท่าระหว่างปี 2559 และปี 2560
ความต้องการที่จะปรับปรุงประสบการณ์การใช้งานของผู้ใช้บริการรวมถึงอุปกรณ์ที่ดึงดูดความสนใจ และแอพพลิเคชั่นต่างๆล้วนมีส่วนผลักดันให้เกิดการใช้งาน LTEโดยประเทศไทยถูกจัดให้อยู่ในอันดับที่ 3ของภูมิภาคที่มีการใช้งานแอพพลิเคชั่นในสมาร์ทโฟนซึ่งแอพพลิเคชั่นที่ได้รับความนิยมส่วนใหญ่จะเกี่ยวกับการบริการด้านการเงิน การบริการโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ บันเทิง ไลฟ์สไตล์ ดูถ่ายทอดสดโซเชียล การเดินทาง แอพพลิเคชั่น โปรโมชั่น รวมถึงคอนเท็นท์ใหม่ๆมีความสำคัญต่อการเติบโตของ Mobile broadband ในประเทศไทยผู้ประกอบการโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่หลายรายต้องเผชิญกับตลาดที่มีการแข่งขันอย่างสูง
และแรงกดดันด้านเทคนิคที่จะยกระดับการให้บริการของตนเองในการที่จะเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของโครงข่ายนั้นต้องทำการพัฒนาระบบซอฟท์แวร์แอพพลิเคชั่นและพัฒนาโครงข่ายให้มีประสิทธิภาพเพื่อการให้บริการขั้นสูงสุดพร้อมทั้งใช้เทคนิคการวิเคราะห์ขั้นสูงเพื่อช่วยเร่งพัฒนาคุณภาพโครงข่ายและประสบการณ์การใช้งานโดยการให้ผู้ประกอบใช้เครื่องมือที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูงซึ่งไม่เพียงแต่จะเป็นการยกระดับคุณภาพโครงข่ายให้แก่ผู้บริโภคแต่ยังเป็นการขยายปริมาณความต้องการการใช้ข้อมูลอีกด้วย

LTE expected to grow four-fold in Thailand
The number of LTE subscriptions continue to grow strongly in Thailand with around 30million subscriptions expected by end of 2017
Between 2016 and 2022, the number of LTE subscriptions is forecasted to grow four-fold
LTE uptake is driven by an affordable devices and attractive global and local appecosystem and the demand for improved user experience and faster networks
Extending LTE coverage to IoT has the potential to enable massive IoT city deployments in Thailand to support Thailand’s Digital Nation vision
The latest edition of the Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) Mobility Report, reveals that LTEsubscriptions will continue to grow strongly in Thailand, as network performance continues to be the building block of a Digital Nation.
LTE will account for around 60 percent of total mobile subscriptions by 2022. In 2016, LTE subscriptions in Thailand reached close to 20 million, or around 20 percent of total mobile subscriptions, a three-fold increase compared to 2015. LTE subscriptions are expected to almost double between 2016 and 2017 in Thailand.
The demand for improved user experience, as well as an attractive device and local appecosystem is also driving LTE uptake. Thailand is ranked 3 rd in the region when it comes to local or regional smartphone app usage, with financial, mobile service provider, entertainment, lifestyle, live streaming, social and transportation among the popular local or regional apps. Introduction and promotion of new local apps and content are vital to further strengthen mobile broadband uptake in Thailand.
Mobile service providers are faced with commercial and technical pressures to continually enhance their services. As the need for performance increases, so must the rate of network application software upgrades and network optimization. Advanced analytics speed up improvements of network quality and user experience by providing operators with effective tools to not only react adequately to ever increasing consumer expectations of networkquality, but also to augment networks in anticipation of rising data demands.
